Mantra

Into the artifice of eternity

I recently revisited some older work (from 2010 – 2011) to touch up some parts and then decided to add them to this body of work as they fit in well with the rest of the paintings.

Ghost Reveries

The image used for this painting is one of St. Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh. The name is taken from an Opeth album, which I was listening to whilst painting. It seemed fitting somehow. Ghost Reveries,oil and acrylic on canvas, 2012

A new dawn, a new painting.

Worked well into the night on this one, which is only about 10′ x 10′ (approx) – sometimes the smaller the painting, the more intricate it is. The town in the painting is Cobh, Co. Cork, with St. Colman’s Cathdral standing high above the houses.
